Pulpotomy

pulpotomyA pulpotomy is when the inflamed pulp chamber, usually on a baby molar, is removed, the area is sterilized, and the chamber is sealed. It is sometimes called a baby tooth root canal, but it’s not really a root canal and it can be done is some cases in permanent teeth. It is a very common procedure in children and has a reasonably good prognosis of success.

While we continue to monitor the developments of COVID-19 in our area, we are adhering to the recommendations of the American Dental Association and the Georgia Dental Association by postponing all nonessential procedures. Therefore, no hygiene appointments will be performed at this time. We will continue to assess things daily and will continue to perform essential services for our patients.
Please feel free to call the office with any questions.

Sincerely,
The Longleaf Dental Family
